Some great things are happening in March for G/T families in RISD!
SENG Parent Support Group: SENG is a national nonprofit dedicated to Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted, and it offers local parent support groups led by SENG-trained facilitators. These groups allow parents to meet, learn, and exchange support in a safe environment. The first Richardson SENG group begins Monday March 21, and will last 6 weeks. If you are interested, please see the attached flyer!
Gifted 201 Parent Class, from NuMinds Enrichment: To take your knowledge of gifted parenting and development to the next level, check out the Gifted 201 Parent Class from NuMinds. Anyone can enroll – there is no prerequisite, and topics cover a broad range of gifted needs! Begins March 30. For details, please see the attached flyer.
SAGE Events: SAGE (Special and Gifted Education) supports all special needs and learning differences in RISD. Upcoming SAGE events addressing other needs may be helpful for some families of Twice Exceptional (2e) children (gifted with other special needs). The attached flyer is from the new SAGE Social/Emotional Wellness Chair. Please feel free to share with any families who might be interested.
Save the Date: Richardson Gifted will host an enrichment for kids on Saturday, April 30th! NuMinds Enrichment will be bringing another exciting event to RISD. More details coming soon!
Spring Break Opportunity: If your children are in town for Spring Break, the G/T specialists at NuMinds Enrichment are offering two days of "Spring Brain Break" in Frisco: http://numien.com/friscobrainbreak/
